Inspired by Henry Mercer’s Moravian Tile mosaics. One in a series of four pieces, the needlework is a diminutive 1 ½” square. The frame is hand grained, and double matted.  The finished artwork piece measures 7 ½” x 7 ½”.

This piece was inspired by the Pennsylvania Dutch motif. The lettering is very intricate and says: "Hands to Work Hearts to God". The needlework measures two inches square. The frame is hand-grained and double matted;  the finished piece measures approximately 10" square.

Wenham Bed Rugg
Adapted from a rug seen in the Wenham Museum in Massachusetts. The original "bed rugg" was a bed covering made in 1724, and is one of the oldest examples existing today. The original was made by Catherine Thorne for her sisters wedding. The background is a deep indigo blue, the accents are shades of mustard, gold and green. The finished needle work measures 4" x 4", and is showcased in a hand grained and double matted frame which measures 14" square. Please allow extra time for completion of this piece because of its size.
